Finding patterns or relationships in existing knowledge is an important part of visual thinking that can lead to discovering new lines of inquiry to try out.

Sometimes it helps to just focus on one or two aspects of your Canvas at a time to help pick out patterns that aren't so obvious in the full Canvas.  For example, looking at just the people and organization Elements to see if there are potential relationships you hadn't noticed before.

Toggle the visibility of Elements, Relations, Suggestions, etc. in the Visibility menu item in the toolbar.
